Frequent Asa and Questions
How is a HIFU Lipolysis treatment performed?
A transducer kept on the skin emits high intensity Ultrasonic waves in a conical manner. They are focused 1.5 cm below the skin causing rupture of the fat cells. The transducer is then advanced further to destroy the new layer of fat cells.
Where does the fat go once it is destroyed? The liquefied fat i.e. triglyceride and fatty acids are liberated into tissue spaces and are drained to the liver via naturally lymphatic channels and circulation. The liver metabolizes them for energy production.
How much benefit can I achieve in a single session & when do the results become noticeable?
With a great leap in yourself image & confidence you could now very easily be measuring from 1 to 3 inches less permanently in the body area you opt to treat, which may be your abdomen, thighs, buttocks, arms etc.
80% patients show immediate reduction in inches. 18% take 7-10 days to see the effect. 2% of the patients need
endermology to open the ymphatics and mesotherapy to destroy brown fat cells.
Are there any side effects?
Extensive clinical trials and over 200,000 patient treatments performed worldwide have demonstrated the excellent safety profile of the HIFUSHAPE procedure.
How long will the results last?
Just as with liposuction, once fat cells are removed from the treatment area the results are expected to be long lasting, as long as you maintain your weight with a healthy diet and exercise.
How does the HIFUSHAPE procedure differ from other non-invasive body contouring treatments, which are based on lymphatic massage or radio- frequency technologies?
The HIFUSHAPE procedure uses pulsed focused ultrasound energy which selectively target and permanently destroys fat cells in the underlying fat layers. This is different from other non-invasive body contouring treatments, which may only enhance the lymphatic system activity to increase lymphatic drainage. Those treatments may only temporarily reduce the volume of the fat cells, not destroy and reduce the number of fat cells therefore the results are temporary and maintenance treatments are required. HIFUSHAPE destroys the fat cells in the focal area and increases blood circulation and lymphatic system activity to expedite the clearance of the liquefied fat. The results are long lasting.
How does the HIFUSHAPE procedure differ from other non-invasive ultrasound treatments for body contouring?
HIFUSHAPE uses pulsed focused ultrasound energy which selectively targets and destroys fat cells. Other ultrasound technology uses non-focused standard ultrasound which cannot break down fat cells.
